Dave qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2000, and joined the practice in shortly after. His first opinion work is primarily based at Charter Hospital, Roundswell, and Charter Vets, South Street.
His particular interests lie in the anaesthesia, emergency and critical care of companion animals. In 2010 he obtained the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Anaesthesia, and is a member of the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists and the British Association of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. In 2015, Dave became an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Anaesthesia. He is passionate about pain relief in animals – both in the time around a surgical procedure, but also in those animals suffering from chronic pain states. He hopes to shortly be able to offer acupuncture as part of a Pain Clinic at Charter Hospital, Roundswell.
Dave’s family unit includes his wife and two children, as well as ‘Salty Sea Dog’ – a Wire-haired Hungarian Vizsla; ‘Snips’ – a fantastic cat who constantly battles with her weight, and some tame chickens. In his spare time, Dave can often be seen cycling on one of his road bikes.
