Phil Barr qualified from Bristol University Vet School in 1991 and after a year in ‘exotic’ animal practice he made the move back to small animal practice (dogs, cats and other small pets).
He worked in several practices in the South East, and after two year’s study he gained a post-graduate RCVS qualification in Small Animal Medicine in 1998. Phil joined Wood Street Veterinary Hospital and became a partner in 2001.
Phil is enthusiastic about all aspects of veterinary practice with special emphasis on medical investigation techniques such as ultrasound and endoscopy, as well as cardiology. He is a member of the Veterinary Cardiovascular Society and the European Society of Veterinary Cardiology.
