Sowerby is Donaldson’s Vets’ newest branch serving Sowerby Bridge, Halifax, Calderdale and beyond!  Formerly the ‘Prospect Veterinary Centre’ the practice was established in 1985 by Chris and Eleanor Dale with the aim of providing high quality veterinary treatment for domestic pets within a personal and caring environment.

Sowerby is a Tier 2 RCVS accredited practice ensuring their facilities and staff training are up to modern standards. This is is a voluntary quality assurance scheme, involving a rigorous inspection of the practice carried out by a veterinary inspector appointed by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Animals entrusted to their care are treated using modern drugs and equipment and all their staff – veterinary surgeons and nurses – are up to date with the latest veterinary knowledge.

The practice is also a Veterinary Nurse Training Centre.  Nurses are trained to the highest national standards.
