Brave Budget Vet staff rush to help shooting victims

budget vets staff

All of the staff at Vetsure were shocked (but not surprised) to hear that staff from Budget Vets showed incredible bravery and community spirit by rushing to the scene of a recent shooting at a haidressing salon close to their Newport clinic.

Budget Vet principal Peter Heathcote, Vet Sarah Cook and Veterinary Nurse Sara Morris were first on the scene following the incident and were immediately on hand to tend to the wounded women.

Peter said:  “I have never seen anything like it.  I did know what I was going into, whether people had been shot, whether they were still alive“.  He went on to praise his brave staff adding:  “They did tremendously well, while so many people will run away from this type of scene they ran towards it to help.”  The Vetsure team agree wholeheartedly with the local paper’s description of the staff:  ‘Heroes’.
