Dogs face threat of killer worm carried by slugs & snails

lungworm

There is now a threat to the UK dog population in the form of lungworm (Angiostrongylus vasorum).  Recently reported in the national press, this parasite is carried by slugs, snails and even frogs.

We are pleased to be able to offer Vetsure policy holders at participating Vetsure clinics 33% off a spot-on treatment that helps prevent the disease.  The same discount is also available for cats as it also treats against fleas, lice, mites and roundworms that are a problem for both dogs and cats.  So feline policyholders need not feel left out!!

If you received a voucher by email it means that your pet is looked after by a Vetsure-affiliated clinic participating in this offer*.  Take the voucher into the clinic to get your dog’s treatment today!  The product recommended also treats against fleas, roundworms, mites and lice – all in one application made simply to the back of your dog’s neck!

As part of our commitment to preventative healthcare Vetsure strongly recommend that you take up your vet’s recommendations for treatments aimed at reducing the risk of lungworm (as well as other pet parasites) – failure to do so, could increase the risk of disease and, potentially, affect claims made for treatments of lungworm.  Let’s work together to keep dogs healthy!

Voucher conditions:
Vouchers can only be redeemed at participating Vetsure-affiliated practices listed below.
The voucher expires on March 31st 2012. Vouchers are only valid for one cat or one dog, provided they are insured under a Vetsure Insurance policy, and each voucher may only be used once.  Vouchers may not be used in conjunction with any other offer (including any practice preventative health plan), have no surrender value and are not transferable.
