Microchips expected to be compulsory in England

Compulsory microchips for dogs are expected to be introduced in England, under plans being currently debated by the Government.  Over 300,000 pets go missing every year in the UK, and some of these animals never make it home because they cannot be identified.  Microchipping offers pet owners the only truly permanent method of identifying your pet and linking them back to you, so if you want to improve your pet’s chances of getting home fast and safe, microchipping is your best option.

Four reasons to microchip your pet:
1.    Only true permanent method of pet identification.
2.    Best chance of your pet returning to you after going missing.
3.    Quick and painless procedure, similar to vaccination.
4.    Lasts for the lifetime of your pet.
