What is dog insurance?

Your dog is a cherished family member, and their well-being is your priority. Dog insurance provides a safety net for unexpected vet expenses, ensuring your companion receives proper care when they’re unwell, and with veterinary costs often high, having reliable coverage is essential. We understand that navigating through the choice of pet insurance for dogs can be overwhelming, so take your time to make an informed decision that safeguards your canine friend’s health and your peace of mind.

Is it worth getting dog insurance?

Pet owners typically claim on their pet insurance far more frequently than on their home or car insurance. On average, Vetsure policyholders submit at least one claim every two years. Having a dependable dog insurance policy ready ensures your beloved pup receives vital care when unforeseen circumstances arise. Your pet’s health is paramount, and our range of three tailored policies guarantees a suitable match for you and your furry friend.

With Vetsure Pet Insurance you can claim for an unlimited number of conditions, excluding pre-existing ones. Your chosen excess is only paid once per condition, offering significant relief when dealing with prolonged medical issues.

Remember, if you ever have any questions about your dog insurance, we can help! We developed this table to show how likely it is that you’ll reach different limits within a policy year, if your pet becomes poorly and requires treatment.

We also extend our coverage to cats and multi-pet households, ensuring every member of your animal family is protected.

At Vetsure, we know that everyone has different requirements and budgets when it comes to choosing the best dog insurance for you and your dog. That’s why we offer a flexible range of cover levels. Please call us on 0800 050 2022 if you have any questions about our policies.

Choose the dog insurance policy that suits you and your dog companion best. Pick your desired policy – we have a range of three core policies: Premier Plus, Premier and Accident Only. You can then tailor these policies and add optional extras if you need to.
