East of England Veterinary Specialists is owned and run by Martin Owen and Mark Bush, two of the most experienced and qualified small animal veterinary orthopaedic surgeons in the country, who have worked in some of the busiest veterinary hospitals in the UK. They are one of only a very small number of small animal orthopaedic veterinary referral clinics in the UK that can promise that 100% of cases will be assessed, investigated, managed and operated by a Recognised Specialist.
<span style=”font-size: 1rem;”>They offer the highest level of veterinary orthopaedic expertise. They charge all routine cases on a fixed price basis. This means they can clearly explain the costs of any procedures, giving pet owners the peace of mind to focus on their much-loved pet getting better, not the worry of rising bills. </span>
East of England Veterinary Specialists is one of the few independent specialist veterinary practices in the UK, locally owned and run by veterinary surgeons. Because they are independent, they are not driven to meet sales targets and growth forecasts. They can keep their fees and costs lower than those of the large corporate hospitals by concentrating on what they do best, orthopaedic surgery.
<span style=”font-size: 1rem;”>They have taken over a purpose-built hospital in Wimpole in the beautiful South Cambridgeshire countryside, close to the National Trust’s Wimpole Estate. Built originally as a human hospital specialising in aesthetic, plastic and bariatric surgery, they have converted the hospital for veterinary use and have two spacious operating theatres, a CT and DR imaging suite in addition to comfortable accommodation for cats and dogs, separate dog and cat waiting areas, reception, offices and a seminar room. The impressive Orwell Grange, behind the hospital and in which grounds the hospital sits, has an interesting history.</span>
