Kitten Insurance Policies

Kitten Insurance

Why kitten insurance is so important…

Bringing home a new bundle of purr is an absolute joy for every new kitten owner. Your new friend is entirely reliant on you in a way that is unique to this stage of your special relationship. Keeping her safe whilst she grows into a confident, affectionate puddy is all part of the delight – and stress – of owning a new kitten. With patience and care she will soon know that there really is no place like home.

Providing good quality healthcare for your new friend can be costly and can be required very quickly. You’re going to get to know her like nobody else – but in the meantime, you can’t always be sure when she’s out of sorts. Kittens are prone to picking up bugs and having accidents as they venture into the unknown. Sometimes, new kitten owners simply need reassurance from their vet that everything is ok. It’s for all these reasons that trips to the vet can be frequent in the first few months – and not just to get her vaccinated and treated for worms!

We know that your choice of pet insurer can seem bewildering and that’s so much for new kitten owners to think about! Choosing a cheap kitten insurance product might seem sensible but, unless you understand exactly what you are getting, it could prove to be an expensive – and distressing – mistake.

You don’t ever want to have to compromise on your kitten’s health and well-being. You are the early stages of a very special relationship – make sure you have good quality cover in place to allow it to flourish. If you also have an adult cat, explore our range of cat insurance policies.

Vetsure kitten insurance policies have been designed by vets to offer reassuring cover for veterinary fees. The policies offer you the choice of two generous benefit limits for vet treatments. These limits apply to each unrelated condition and recharge fully each time you renew – so you can make claims against an unlimited number of different eligible conditions. Purrfect for the kitten that seems prone to getting into regular scrapes and picking up every illness going!

Levels of Cover

We offer four levels of cover depending on your requirements and budget. These are summarised below. Please call us on 0800 050 2022 if you have any questions or would like further information. Click the ‘Compare benefits’ tab below to view a list of benefits and limits per policy.

The Vetsure policy range offers you the flexibility to tailor your cover to suit your needs and budget! First, you choose between three levels of ‘core cover’: Premier Plus, Premier and Accident Only as detailed below. Then, you can choose to add up to three types of ‘Optional cover’: Preventative Care Vouchers (where available), Public Liability (for dogs only) and ‘Additional Benefits Cover (ABC package)’.

Click here for full details and to compare policy benefits side by side.

VETSURE PREMIER PLUS

The Premier Plus ‘core cover’ includes up to £5,000 per condition per year for Veterinary Fees. This policy also offers cover for Complementary Medicine, Special Diet, Death of Pet, Transportation Costs, Loss by Theft or Straying and Advertising and Reward as standard.

VETSURE PREMIER

The Premier Plus ‘core cover’ includes up to £2,000 per condition per year for Veterinary Fees. This policy also offers cover for Complementary Medicine, Special Diet, Death of Pet, Transportation Costs, Loss by Theft or Straying and Advertising and Reward as standard.

VETSURE ACCIDENT ONLY

This policy provides your pet with cover for accidental injury only. For example, treatment following a road traffic accident, foreign body ingestion, bone fractures, lacerations, burns and such like. This policy does not cover illnesses or conditions that have an underlying medical cause such as cruciate ligament rupture and patella luxation. If you are concerned about the possible future costs relating to such conditions, or any illness your pet might develop, the Premier or Premier Plus policies may suit you better as they provide cover for illness.
